G1496
Garland = 1496
Denomination = 25c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = W.O. Winston for President
Rarity = R13
Grade = VG
Notes = Hard to find Series 2 example purchased from Dennis Schafluetzel at 2021 GNA show. Some nice repair work keeps this well-faded, worn example “whole”.
G1498
Garland = 1498
Denomination = 10c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R14
Grade = F
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car. Hard to find note (2-4 thought to exist)!
G1501
Garland = 1501
Denomination = 25c
Date = July 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = F
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car. This is an interesting note because it appears to have been redeemed in 1874 as part of the state of Georgia redemption of The Western and Atlantic notes. To my knowledge, Wills Valley scrip should not have been redeemed.
G1499
Garland = 1499
Denomination = 25c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = G
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car printed on a recycled Wills Valley bond. Pretty ugly example with major tape repair on back.
G1499
Garland = 1499
Denomination = 25c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = VG
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car printed on a recycled Wills Valley bond. Better looking example that the other GR1499 on this site; however, I’d still rate this a VG with a sizeable pinhole in the middle

G1503
Garland = 1503
Denomination = 50c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = VG
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car
G1503
Garland = 1503
Denomination = 50c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = VG
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car. This is an interesting note because (like the 25 cent example on this page), it has the punch cancellation marks associated with the state of Georgia 1874 redemption of Western and Atlantic scrip. To my knowledge, no other railroad scrip was supposed to be redeemed.
G1503
Garland = 1503
Denomination = 50c
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = F
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car printed on a recycled Wills Valley bond. This is my only example of a 50c note printed on a recycled bond
G1505
Garland = 1505
Denomination = 50c
Date = July 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R8
Grade = F
Notes = Black train with no cupolas on last car.
G1507
Garland = 1507
Denomination = $1
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = 790 c
Signed by = J.C. Warner for President
Rarity = R13
Grade = F
Notes = This example has some nice repair work on the obverse right hand side. A missing piece of the border and train smoke was ‘filled’ and drawn with blue-ish ink. You can see the tape repair on back. Rare note…happy to add it to this site.
G1507.1
Garland = 1507.1
Denomination = $1
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = W.O. Winston for President
Rarity = R13
Grade = F
Notes = Garland’s reference book states that the ‘one dollar’ in center is in black ink…this example has red ink. Schafluetzel’s site has this example marked as 1507.1
G1509
Garland = 1509
Denomination = $3
Date = April 1, 1862
Serial # = N/A
Signed by = W.O. Winston for President
Rarity = R14
Grade = F
Notes = Hard to find note…picked it up from Dennis Schafluetzel at the 2021 GNA show. 2” split on obverse right. Still looking for the Series 3 $2 example
