G1460x
Garland = 1460x (Counterfeit)
Denomination = 50c
Plate Letter = Marked ‘E’ but it is a ‘D’ plate
Date = March 15, 1862
Serial # = 1143
Signed by = Forged Ben May (Treasurer) and William Grisham (for Supervisor)
Rarity = R?
Grade = G
Notes = Not Punch Cancelled, non-standard ‘Reverse’ Red train, Short Letter Block Font, “Will pay” indented, plain reverse. Marked as ‘Counterfeit’ in cursive. Neat example…and the forged signatures are pretty accurate. The ‘0’ in ‘50’ is a little wide, the font size for ‘FIFTY CENTERS’ is too small, the train points the wrong direction, and they marked this note as Series E (May) even though this plate is marked April (the month for Series D)
