Either this is a remainder or someone bleached out the signatures and no other feature. Paper looks atypical on reverse

Note: This is an odd note, the plate letter ‘A’ looks to have been written or printed over with a ‘D’…also, the plate letter A is visible on the reverse which is odd. Not an attractive note and it has a 3/4” lateral tear at the top/middle…just cannot figure out what the story is behind the Plate letter alteration.
